What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file (often including a unique identifier), that is sent to a user’s browser from, for example, a website and stored on the user’s device. A cookie stores a small amount of data on such a device about a visit to the website, app or service that sets the cookie. A web beacon (also known as a clear GIF or pixel tag) is similar to a cookie. It is typically a one-pixel image located on a web page or in an email or other message. It verifies the viewing or receipt of a web page or a message.
Types of cookies that we use
We use the following categories of cookies on our Site:
Essential cookies. Also known as strictly necessary cookies, these cookies are required for the operation of our Site. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to purchase services from our Site.
Analytics cookies. Also known as performance cookies, these cookies allow us to recognise, count and track visitors and users on our Site to see how visitors move around our Site when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Site works, for example, by ensuring that visitors are finding what they are looking for easily.
Personalization cookies. Also known as functionality cookies, these cookies allow us to recognise you when you use our Site, to remember choices you make (such as the language, or the region you are in).
Marketing cookies. Also known as advertising cookies, we use these cookies from third parties, such as ad networks, on our Site to help us display advertising to you that is more relevant and engaging for you, to promote Terramate on other platforms and websites and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing.
We also use essential, analytics and personalization cookies on our Web App. These are used to, for example, enable you to log into secure areas of our Web App, allow us to gain insights into how the features and functionality of our Web App are used and to provide you with enhanced, more personalized features of the Terramate Services.
