We use cookies, web beacons, embedded scripts, file information and similar technologies (collectively referred to as “cookies”) on our Site(s) (terramate.io or any other website of ours that links to this Cookie Notice).

Our Web App (cloud.terramate.io), the browser-based web user interface for registered users of the Terramate Services (as defined in our Privacy Notice), also uses cookies in limited circumstances primarily to provide the Terramate Services as described in “Types of cookies that we use” below.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file (often including a unique identifier), that is sent to a user’s browser from, for example, a website and stored on the user’s device. A cookie stores a small amount of data on such a device about a visit to the website, app or service that sets the cookie. A web beacon (also known as a clear GIF or pixel tag) is similar to a cookie. It is typically a one-pixel image located on a web page or in an email or other message. It verifies the viewing or receipt of a web page or a message.

Types of cookies that we use

We use the following categories of cookies on our Site:

  • Essential cookies. Also known as strictly necessary cookies, these cookies are required for the operation of our Site. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to purchase services from our Site.

Also known as advertising cookies, we use these cookies from third parties, such as ad networks, on our Site to help us display advertising to you that is more relevant and engaging for you, to promote Terramate on other platforms and websites and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing. 

We also use essential, analytics and personalization cookies on our Web App. These are used to, for example, enable you to log into secure areas of our Web App, allow us to gain insights into how the features and functionality of our Web App are used and to provide you with enhanced, more personalized features of the Terramate Services.

How to manage cookies

We have implemented a cookie consent manager on our Site and in the Web App which allows you to view the current list of cookies implemented and to manage your cookie preferences. In addition to browser settings and various opt-out mechanisms described further below, you can use the cookie consent manager to change your cookie preferences. To view the current list of cookies implemented in our Site and to manage cookie preferences, please click the “Cookie Preferences” link at the bottom of the Site. To do the same in the Web App, please visit the “Account Settings” page. Please note, the Web App does not contain Marketing cookies.

Browser settings and other opt-out mechanisms

Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies but also allow you to change settings to disable cookies. These browsers may also permit you to delete cookies already placed on your device.
